Emil Ješko

Researcher

Emil is a researcher at the National Forest Centre. He is a member of a team focused on data collection, development, testing, and application of neural networks within the Centre of Excellence LignoSilva.

He studied forestry and later geoinformation and mapping techniques in forestry at the Technical University of Zvolen, where he completed his studies in 2025. His final thesis addressed the current issue of detecting and monitoring the spatial spread of spruce bark beetle using Sentinel-2 time-series imagery and advanced analytical methods.

He is a member of the prominent forestry civic association Pro Silva Slovakia, which supports the principles of close-to-nature forest management. Over many years, he has gained practical experience working with a private forest manager.

In his free time, he enjoys hunting, cynology, and hunting education.
