Ivan Horvát

Researcher

Ivan Horvat is a worker for the Upgrade of the Centre of Excellence LignoSilva project for the program WasteUse. Her main activity is the activity connected with the preparation of a demonstration of the use of wood ash and cellulose sludge in the cultivation of forest trees.

He studied at the Technical University in Zvolen, Faculty of Forestry. He is a doctoral student at the Technical University in Zvolen, Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, since September 2024. The topic of her PhD thesis is Transformation of uncultivated overgrown agricultural land into productive agroforestry systems.

He has worked 22 years as Grower of forests in private sector.  He has been working in forestry research since 2019. Her professional focus is forest seed production and nursery production. He has been coordinator of seems control. He   involved in solving projects within the framework of the APVV. She performs professional supervision in the field of forest reproductive material of forest trees. Currently, he   cooperates on the project   Transformation of uncultivated overgrown agricultural land into productive agroforestry systems

Since January 2024, he has been part of the team within the LignoSilva Centre of Excellence project. He  is maked as a Grower in the Greenhaus and open areas by the activities demonstrating the impact of recycled waste on seeds in laboratory conditions and on seedling production in a forest nursery.

In his free time, Ivan enjoys hunting.
