Jana Luptáková has been the Head of the Central Forestry Laboratory (CFL) since May 2024. Her main responsibilities include managing laboratory activities in accordance with the approved Quality Manual of the CFL, overseeing the professional and technical level of the CFL’s operations, ensuring testing activities within the defined scope, and supervising the accuracy and completeness of measurements. Additionally, she creates conditions to ensure impartial performance of measurements, ensuring independence of remuneration from the number and results of accredited tests performed. She is also responsible for conducting internal quality control, verifying the overall accuracy of protocols with analysis results, managing customer relations, making decisions regarding corrective actions within the quality system, selecting suppliers, and reviewing records of orders, samples, protocols, analytical methods, economic indicators, laboratory instrumentation, materials, and equipment.
She studied Bioorganic Chemistry at the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, where she completed her studies with a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree in 2008. In 2018, she earned her PhD in Fire Protection and Safety from the Technical University in Zvolen, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies.
Her professional focus is on analytical chemistry. She previously worked at a testing laboratory specializing in the chemical and physico-chemical analysis of food and water. She joined the CFL of the National Forest Center in November 2022 as an independent chemist-analyst and became the Head of the CFL in 2024.
Since January 2024, Jana has been working on the LignoSilva Upgrade project. She ensures the performance of chemical and physico-chemical analyses of samples from demonstration cases, oversees quality control of the analyses performed, and issues protocols with the analysis results.
