Miloš Gejdoš is a Project Researcher for the Upgrade of the Centre of Excellence LignoSilva project. His main responsibilities include contributing to research in intelligent wood processing technologies, wood quality assessment, and the evaluation of qualitative features of wood.
He is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, Technical University in Zvolen, where he has been actively engaged since 2007. His academic and professional focus lies in forest harvesting technologies, wood assortment quality, and biomass utilization. He supports research and innovation in sustainable forest-based technologies through his involvement in the LignoSilva Centre of Excellence.
Dr. Gejdoš holds a PhD in Forestry Engineering from the Technical University in Zvolen, with a dissertation focused on the price development and technical conditions of selected wood assortments. In 2019, he completed his habilitation at Mendel University in Brno, specializing in the analysis of health and safety risks in the technological process of forest biomass production.
Throughout his career, he has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, including VEGA, KEGA, and APVV grants, as well as projects funded by EU structural funds. He is the author and co-author of over 200 scientific outputs, with more than 80 indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, and has received over 400 citations (H-index: 13).
Since March 2025, Dr. Gejdoš has been part of the LignoSilva Centre of Excellence team, contributing to research and scientific activities focused on advanced wood processing, sustainable material use, and innovation in forestry technologies
