Seyedeh Masoumeh Hafezi

Postdoctoral Researcher

Seyedeh Masoumeh Hafezi is a postdoctoral researcher in the LignoSilva Centre of Excellence project. Her researches focuses on environmental assessments and life cycle assessment (LCA) studies of various agroforestry systems and tree production.

She completed all her academic degrees (BSc, MSc, and PhD) at the University of Tehran, Iran, spending six months as a guest researcher at Radboud University in the Netherlands. Masoumeh held her first postdoctoral position at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Her expertise includes life cycle impact assessment, wood-based composites, and agroforestry.

Since March 2025, she has been contributing to the LignoSilva project by developing LCA models for trees and agroforestry systems. Her work supports the goals of the LignoSilva project by evaluating the effects of using wood ashand Paper mill sludge in the life cycle assessment results of agroforestry systems.

In her free time, Masoumeh enjoys running, Pilates, painting, cooking, and exploring nature.
