Researcher

Vladimír is a researcher at the Forest Research Institute of the National Forest Centre. As a researcher for the Upgrade of the Centre of Excellence LignoSilva project, he is working on demonstrating the impact of wood ash and cellulose sludge application on the production of forest reproductive material.

He completed his Forestry degree at the Technical University in Zvolen in 2017. Subsequently, he started his PhD at the Faculty of Forestry, Department of Phytology, working on the population evolutionary genetics of trees. During his studies, Vladimír also took part in an exchange program at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.

He has been a researcher at the Forestry Research Institute of the National Forest Centre since 2019, and since 2021, he has served as the deputy head of the seed laboratory, which is a member of the ISTA association. His professional focus as a researcher is on the population genetics of forests and their evolutionary mechanisms, the protection of forest biodiversity, and forest reproductive material—from seed biology to seedling production.
